Although he took over from a legend, Tim Cook has made quite a bit of history for himself during his first 12 months as Apple's boss.When Tim Cook introduced the iPhone 4S on Oct. 4, 2011, it was the first update to Apple's popular smartphone line in almost a year and a half. The company had extra incentive to get it right given fierce competition from Google's Android platform.
